15 Good Night Prayers For My Husband (Bible Verses your man will love)

Prayer for any night you face diversity, hardships, or simply wanting to reconnect with your spouse. There is power in a praying wife who will lay down on her knees, surrendering it all to the Lord Jesus.

You have had many nights where your words are jumbled, and you pray that God hears your heart as you lay in bed tonight.

I hope you use these night prayers to fight hell against your home and marriage.

Psalm 91:1 - Shelter my beloved husband

“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High     will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.”

Dear Jesus Christ, you shelter my beloved husband from his selfish flesh. He has turned to the shadows pleading for your forgiveness and mercy.

You wiped his slate clean, and now he rests easy with peace of mind. He battled with holding onto his sins hanging over him as a reminder of what he had done.

You ensured this would not define him; you have become his safety and peace. Thank you for raising the love of my life to become a man of God. It took many years of work that led him right to you, and he surrendered it all.

He has faced many trials and now stands before you in your shadow of security. You have done wonders for this man before my eyes in so many seasons.

May you continue to break him down and use him for your glory. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Psalm 3:5 - Give my partner peace

“I lay down and slept;   I woke again, for the Lord sustained me.”

Heavenly Father, give my dear partner the gift of peace to tune out his thoughts and enter into rest. May his troubles vanish as his head lays gently to decompress from a long day of work.

Allow him to gather a good night's rest to prepare for the beauty of your day tomorrow. You have permanently lengthened his fuel to push through hard work and give it his all as he goes past his troubles.

May God's love continue to sustain his restful soul to prevent burnout. Only you can provide beneficial rest and renourishment for his body parts.

Supply him with your strengths and the nutrients that come from you in a powerful way. You give him all that he needs even when he attempts to fight off the joy and peace.

Let him not fall into the comfort of slugging through his days. May he wake tomorrow with the gift of life that is filled with energy, fulfillment, and goodness for another working day. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Psalm 119:105 - Guide my better half

“Your word is a lamp to my feet     and a light to my path.”

Almighty God, my husband's future lies in your hands and the plans you have set in store. I ask that you guide him and shape him to become the man you have designed for him to be.

May you guide every decision he makes, shining a light on the path of his feet for new things to come. Let your light shine to open his eyes to see you in everything he does.

May he see the glory of your works in all his decisions and solutions he finds. Only you know the choices my partner faces in every area, Unspoken battles that attempt to steal the promises you have made for him.

I declare victory and restoration over him tonight. Your word is a lamp revealing every answer he comes across. His mind will find comfort in seeking out every truth you have written.

Let him wake up as a new man who can obey your word and follow your light. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Acts 28:31 - Help the man of my heart with your wisdom

“proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness and without hindrance.”

Dear Jesus, my husband is now pursuing a relationship with you. His walk of faith is new and childlike in the best way, and he is boastful and eager to hear more of you.

He shies away from initiating conversations about you, afraid that what he says is wrong. Instead, he listens to others believing that they know all there is to know about you.

Allow him to teach others as he teaches himself when he speaks your word. Let him be open to learning from other believers this coming day while he jumps into conversations.

May he proclaim your word with boldness that although he does not have all the answers, he does have you? Secure his faith from threats of throwing this new journey into jeopardy by a non-believer.

I ask that he begins to know you firsthand to grow in confidence that he can assure himself even when others question the faith he believes.

Grant him your peace and boldness to be secure in you. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Psalm 139:11-12 - Help my husband see your light

“If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light about me be night,” even the darkness is not dark to you; the night is bright as the day, for darkness is as light with you.”

O' Lord, your light outshines any cloud of darkness. No darkness is near or within you; I claim that over my loved one today. I pray that their shadows of doubt vanish and they begin to see the truth of your light.

Let your light shine within them as the darkness leaves instantly at the fear of your presence. I proclaim that this darkness vanishes in every room you enter and is too shocked to return.

When you are present, no darkness can overweigh the power of your presence. May God's peace protect my sweet love from any harm while we encounter this long-distance season.

Bless him with all of the prayers he whispers to you each night. Thank you for giving me such a godly man as he is. I prayed for this man to walk into my life, and I will continue to pray for him through our life together.

May you be the light for him individually and together as we enter a relationship. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Psalm 4:8 - Give my husband strength

“In peace I will both lie down and sleep;     for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.”

Dear Lord, Long distance is weighing heavy on our relationship. Frustrations are blown out, and communication is bear with our opposite schedules.

We need you in the midst of this battle. I ask for your peace to come over the both of us and the insecurities and fears that are yelling out at us.

As we both lay down tonight in separate locations, let us release any tension that we have allowed to build up. Let your love and peace wash over us as we miss each other in this time of long distance.

May your peace and patience wash over him as he falls asleep tonight. Let him see himself and our marriage clearly after a night of rest.

You are the only person who can make us safe in this unity. I am asking for your hand to be in this because I cannot de-escalate what we have allowed to arise.

Shower your love and unity to remove any fog that cannot clearly see your message for us. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Proverbs 13:20 - Prayer to held my husband do well at work

“Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise,     but the companion of fools will suffer harm.”

Heavenly Father, meeting friends at a new workplace is not always easy. My husband is timid but greatly desires strong connections.

He is far away and starting somewhere new and outside of his comfort. I ask that he draws the right relationships toward him as he establishes himself in his work environment.

Bless him with amazing friendships that can only come from you. Allow him to attract other Christians on fire for God so they can disciple one another in companionships.

May he attract wise companions as he becomes wise himself? He yearns for lasting friendships but has yet to come across one that is healthy and soul-giving to his spirit.

Friends are so amazing when they all serve and honor the Lord together—a force to be reckoned with in the power of multiples.

God-based friendships are needed when growing in Christ and desiring a deeper relationship with you.

Let his group of peers love and seek you out from one another while connecting through you. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Proverbs 6:22 - Prayer to give my husband courage

“When you walk, they will lead you;   when you lie down, they will watch over you;   and when you awake, they will talk with you.”

Father God, I ask that you lead my husband to places he would have never dared to enter. Your courage rises inside him, giving him the confidence he desires.

Replenish his soul to handle the changes you are making in him. Allow him to grow in faith and not run away at the shift of change in his spirit.

Remove his fears that only creep in at night when he begins to dream of your plan. May your light drown out the shadows of darkness, attempting to steal what you have promised.

I rest my hand on him tonight, hoping you touch him to feel your holy spirit. Allow him to sleep to nourish his body to accomplish his God-given duties here on earth.

Speak loud to him so that he cannot question the voice of God. Allow his rest to feel replenished and a presence only you can fill in this room.

Cast peace among him as you lead him into his calling and purpose. He was born for so much more than he knows.

May he know that you are guiding his heart and life? In Jesus' name. Amen.

Psalm 121:1-3 - Prayer to help my husband stand firm

“I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber.”

Lord Jesus, You have placed my husband on solid ground. His feet do not slip but stand firm on a foundation built up from you. He was once timid and scared and has now risen by your name's power.

His eyes remain on you, allowing him to dream bigger to reach the desires you have set in his heart. Because of you, this remarkable man of mine has transformed into the godly man you have called him to be.

Help him to keep his eyes upon you. May you continue to lead him when he seeks out your guidance. Let every obstacle diminish when he calls out your name.

Let his mind rest, assured that his help comes from his maker, who has created heaven and earth. He cannot be moved when your hand is in the works.

Place him in places that you wish him to be. Give him the wisdom to remain here and seek your leadership in his growth areas.

Allow him to rest peacefully tonight as he unwinds from his day's work. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Proverbs 3:24-26 - Prayer to help my husband sleep peacefully

“If you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. Do not be afraid of sudden terror or of the ruin of the wicked, when it comes, for the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught.”

Dear God, my partner is continuously yanked out of his sleep. He falls asleep quickly until the late night hour when a wicked spirit grabs him into a state of terror.

Panic quickly rises out of him from confusion and yearning for your presence. I rebuke anything attempting to overcome and destroy the people in my home.

When we hold onto the confidence of your promises, our fears and terror tremble at what we now know. Help my feet not get stuck in the quicksand of fear that has sucked me down in low places.

I rebuke the devil's hold on me and the target he attempts to strike on me. My God shakes heaven and hell at the power he gives his children, knowing he covers us.

I ask that my other half sleep be sweet tonight and protected by your angels. May your angels encamp around him to fight off any living spirit that does not come from you.

Let his sound sleep be sweet tonight as his mind no longer acknowledges the fear of what was.

I rebuke fear in my home and plead the blood of Jesus and his covering over my family. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Romans 8:28 - Prayer to give my spouse clarity on his purpose in life

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”

Dear Lord, my hubby's purpose is much bigger than he can see. I know his godly gifts, and you showcase the calling on his life.

His patience and laid-back attitude offer something unique, allowing him to father our children with so much grace. A characteristic I so wish I had, but I am so blessed to know myself and my kids will receive this love and quality from within our home.

Push him into his calling and the destination you wish him to serve you. Your plans are always better than our own. I speak life over him today as he questions his purpose in this big world.

May you reveal every quality you specifically gave to him for a reason. Let him see that this calling on his heart comes from you. Anything that you send is blessed and will prosper.

Allow him to see himself today through your lens of how awesome and perfectly made he is. His purpose was made to work for your good, and I love to see you constantly moving in his life.

Grant him the opportunities and position to use his calling to his whole purpose. May he draw closer to you as you confirm what others cannot?

I pray that he loves you more today than yesterday. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Romantic good night prayer message

Proverbs 4:23 - Prayer to guard my husband's heart

“Keep your heart with all vigilance,     for from it flow the springs of life.”

Father God, guard my husband's heart against all the battles he faces and wishes not to speak about. I declare restoration over him to heal from every once broken area and left wounded.

May he avidly work on himself to love himself as much as he pours out his love for me? When he is on fire for Christ, the fruits of your spirit naturally pour out from him.

May he continue to love you with all his heart so you can give him everything he needs. You are a God of healing and power in all you have created. I know you can heal this man to be exactly who he intended to be before the world caught him.

Hold my husband's heart close to yours and let him feel the love only your children can experience. Let this be a trickle effect of his passion pouring out onto others from the springs of his life.

He is a perfectly designed creation that works to undo what the world has damaged him with.

May his joy and love be contagious to everyone he encounters. In Jesus' name. Amen.

2 Peter 3:18 - Prayer to grow my husband's knowledge and wisdom

“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.”

Heavenly Father, we come to you tonight, surrendering our life. You have the authority that we do not have to move our hearts to transform. I ask that you help us grow in your grace and knowledge.

We have started implementing more of you in our household to learn as we teach you to our children. My family can now see Christ in one another as we sanctify our home with the peace of God.

We cannot gain the fruits of the spirit without attributing your Christ-like qualities. We only want more of you. You have brought us together, and we have centered our relationship on Christ alone.

May you continue to move in us and through us. We see the fruits of you as we have made even just the slightest changes in our home and individually.

Our spiritual growth has been tested, but we rebuke anything that does not draw us closer to you. We have seen the works of your glory in our storms and victories.

You have set our eyes on eternity to love, serve, and obey as you exemplified. Do your work within us as we build up your kingdom here. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Ephesians 4:32 - Help my husband to be gentle and kind

“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”

Dear Father, soften our hearts for one another as we welcome the new day. We have faced many trials and tribulations together.

It has taken bringing you to the center of our relationship for us to find our love again. The fruits of the spirit have saved this marriage with much forgiveness, gentleness, and kindness.

We have lived through many years of not holding you at the center of us. It has proven that we will live in pain and suffering from our selfish desires and wants without you.

Help us forgive one another for the tiny actions we have yet to discuss. Please grant us a new perspective of compassion that hurt people hurt people as we once lived in our beginning relationship.

Christ has made so much possible for us to conquer and overcome. Thank you for providing me with the tools and wisdom to love my husband how he needs.

We are interwoven into one as we have come into a sanctified unity under you. Our love for you, Jesus, remains at the center of us and brings us closer together in serving you.

We would not be here today standing in our glorified story of how our God works for our good. You are an extraordinary God. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Ephesians 5:22-23 - Prayer to help my husband to become a strong and respected leader

“Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior.”

Dear Lord, help me to submit to my wonderful husband as he is the head of our household as you have intended for our home. I have struggled with obeying you by submitting to my husband.

I am used to controlling and having all the answers on my own. I have held onto this quality to save myself from hurt, and I need God's grace in helping me release this.

Please help me unlearn the unhealthy dynamic many generations set before me in my own home. I have carried this baggage into building my family and mocking my upbringing.

May my natural responses become Christ-centered, and I back away from my flesh. Break me down if this means I will surrender a toxic trait I have used as a clutch for many years.

I accept his authority over my life as I have with you, my heavenly father. I have faced the hard reality that you are in control, not me or my dear husband.

I will allow my husband to lead our family, as he is the head of us, as Christ is the head of the church. Please help me back away and allow my hubby to flourish as a leader in our home.

In Jesus' name. Amen. May God's hands place the right words on my heart tonight to speak over my husband tonight.

I pray I can give him a little light of Jesus in our home as our true love presumes. We serve a merciful God, and I ask that you let my loving husband feel it now.
