1. Isaiah 41:10 ESV
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
God’s word to us is to not fear, and he promises to strengthen us, prepare us, and uphold us. Everything we need is found in God—He is our salvation, our refuge, and our rock. Instead of being afraid, we can praise in the midst of a storm.
Even in the middle of hardships we can have an everlasting hope because God is with us. When we look to our future we can have peace and trust that God is our fortress and shield protecting us from evil.
2. 1 Corinthians 16:13 NIV
“Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.”
In this passage, Paul is telling the church that they are called be on guard and aware of what’s happening. He doesn’t say that we should sit back and relax because everything will work itself out.
We’re likely going to run into things that can make us unstable in our faith. Circumstances can cause us to doubt God and ourselves, and then we shrink back and become weak. Paul wants believers to be steadfast in hope and be courageous no matter what we face.

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.”
The good news is that we don’t need to be strong in our own power and abilities. By faith, we can be strengthened in Christ and in His grace. God sees all of our weaknesses and gives us access to the riches of His eternal strength.
This doesn’t negate our responsibility to make wise decisions and stay out of trouble, but it removes the pressure and feeling that we need to do everything independently.

4. Romans 15:1 KJV
“We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.”
There are times when everything feels like it’s perfect. Your family, job, and friendships are all strong and healthy, and you feel unstoppable. There’s nothing wrong with that, and you shouldn’t feel bad about it.
Keep in mind that not everyone is experiencing the same thing. You probably know people that lost their job, have family problems, or are struggling with sickness. It’s your responsibility to use your strength to help them.
When you’re strong, you are equipped to see who’s knocked down and help them back up.

When we use our strength to love, it’s seen and felt by others. The love you have for God can’t be only a private matter. Our love needs to impact the world around us and people should be blessed because of our actions.

“Do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
Have you ever been working on something and felt discouraged due to a lack of progress? You’re working hard every day, but it feels futile. In Nehemiah 8, there’s a group of people listening to the Law of God. When they hear the expectations of the law and compare it to their life, they start weeping.
Nehemiah reminds the people that their sorrow is making them weak and vulnerable.

Joshua instructs his people that they shouldn’t turn to the right or left. Instead, be strong and courageous to face whatever comes our way head-on. This is the path to success.
If we turn to the side every time our enemies get in our way, we’ll end up walking around in circles and not make any progress or fulfills God's plans.

This verse is from a song that David is singing to God. As a king who fought in battles for the majority of his life, it’s eye-opening to hear where David got his strength from.
He could’ve said that his strength came from God. It’s also important to note that David gives credit to God for making his way perfect. When you read the stories of his life, it doesn’t seem to be perfect at all. David faced many struggles that we would run away from.
But he knew that God was with him, giving him the strength and power to handle the obstacles he faced daily.
