Scriptures on Destiny丨10 Verses to Fulfill God’s Purpose

10 Bible Verses About Destiny

As we move through our daily lives, we are faced with both opportunities and trials. It’s often easy for us to become discouraged or lose our way. But, it is important to remember that our heavenly father has a plan for each of us - and we should trust in Him. Scripture on destiny can provide the reassurance you need to remember that.

God has prepared a plan for each of us. If we live according to His ways, then His purpose for us will be revealed. These bible verses about destiny will serve as a reminder to trust in the Lord’s plan for us.

1. I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” - John 16:33 ESV

Through this bible verse, Jesus Christ teaches us that the Lord knows what will come; nothing can surprise him. True believers must remember to trust the lord’s plan as he will ensure that you prosper and discover your purpose.

2. So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it. - Isaiah 55:11 ESV

This bible passage reminds us that what our heavenly father puts in motion, shall always succeed. We’re called to follow God’s ways and be restored in His favor. This will allow us to live a good life and enjoy the many blessings he offers to his followers.

3. And we know that for those who love God, all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. For those whom he foreknew, he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. - Romans 8:28-29 ESV

Saint Paul mentions several bible verses about destiny. This one from Romans speaks of how the promised life in heaven that we are destined to enjoy is not freely available to all. To bask in the glory of God, one must be a true believer and fulfil the Lord’s purpose.

4. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the Lord, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, declares the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile. - Jeremiah 29:11-14

This bible teaching on destiny teaches us to fully embrace the Lord and His ways. By truly opening our hearts to Him, we will discover the divine purpose He has intended for each of us.

5. “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.” - Jeremiah 1:5

While the second half of this scripture on destiny refers to Jeremiah, a Hebrew Prophet, the first is applicable to all of us. It tells us how we are created in Christ’s mind; he knows who we will become before we are even born.

Therefore, we should trust in the Lord’s plan for us as he knows what awaits us. He has fashioned each of us, with our unique traits and ways, to serve according to his purpose.
